I’ve been playing about with Windows Movie maker to edit the video clips I’ve been taking at the various events, and had a whale of a time - its brill!  Ok, I know its probably quite basic compared to some, but good enough for me.

So, time to post video!  In date order, Strawberry Fair, Peterborough Kite Festival, and the dancing party at Adam & Mary’s.  Hope you enjoy…..

What do Cambridge Stawberry Fair and the Peterborough Kite Festival have in common?  Easy - they’re both on the same weekend, and having already committed to help out at the Kite Festival, if we wanted to go to the Strawberry Fair too it was going to be one busy weekend!

On Saturday morning we caught the train from Kings Lynn, along with a whole crowd of people who were obviously headed to the same event (there were so many people headed to Cambridge on that train, they were even sitting in the aisles - god forbid that First would actually think ahead and put on an extra carriage for the one train which would arrive in time for the start of the festival!)  When we left Kings Lynn it was pouring with rain, when we arrived in Cambridge, not a drop - luckily!

Spent the day looking at the stalls, eating some good food, drinking some real cider (benefit of travelling by train) and watching varying bands, some good, some excellent and some…..well….

It was late by the time we called it a day and headed home, ready for an early start (in theory) for the Kite Festival the next day…….if you call lunchtime an early start.   Well, weekends aren’t supposed to feature alarm clocks in my book!

As usual, we had a great day, and the weather was such a contrast to the Saturday, wind a bit eratic, enough sun for a nice dose of sunburn for some, and the guys even managed to get a nice long flight with the Manta Ray, something I haven’t seen for a long time.  Most of the club went to the pub for a meal after the event, a perfect end to a brilliant day.

Not many photos of either, but I did shoot a lot of video - now I just need to find (and learn to use) a video editor to put it all together to post on here…
