….well, with some help!!

For the second year running I visited Airkix in Xscape at Milton Keynes for a spot of indoor skydiving as part of the MW @ MK Plus event.  Its a sort of upright wind tunnel where you can get the effect of skydiving without having to do the scary bit of jumping out of a plain (and the air is warmer too)!!

First we had to put on a very flattering (not) jumpsuit with handles sewn into it.  Mine appeared to be at least a foot taller than me, but apparently this was good because it created better drag in the wind tunnel - still not at all flattering though, particularly not when coupled with pink goggles and a funny hat!

The first go, I spent a long time trying to work out how to breathe properly whilst in the middle of a gale, and was almost relieved when my minute was up and it was time to leave the flying area.  The second go came round, and I was a lot happier actually trying to fly properly, by the time I had to leave I was just getting into it!  We got the option to have one more minute at an extra charge, and so I did - enjoyed it so much!

Would I recommend it?  Definitely.

Would I go back?  Absolutely!!
